One public main number
For an office, one public main number may be easier to maintain than several department numbers. Your phone provider can explain routing and extensions, which are separate from the number purchase.
Write down who answers, the opening hours, and what happens when nobody is available. These decisions make the number useful after a customer finds it.
A dedicated booking contact
A Newport charter or Laguna studio may want a clearly labeled booking or appointment contact. If that number appears on confirmations, keep it consistent with the person or team handling those inquiries.
Do not imply that a purchased number includes a booking system, text messaging, or emergency assistance. Set up and test any required service with the provider.
Compare before adding another line
Consider whether a separate number solves a real customer problem. A second unlabeled contact can create uncertainty; a specific “group bookings” or “appointments” label gives it a clear role.
Compare current candidates for price, spoken clarity, and printed readability. Use a number that works for the business over time, beyond one promotion.
